I like them - however what a whole heap of bother to fit them - you'll go through all that bother and then 6 months every spotty snotty youth will have them on their corsa and youll feel like a right berk! However i suppose that it would be less painful than buying a R8 at mega cost and bing catagorised as chav boy by the general public!

Later this week Audi will announce the hottest version of the Audi TT. Performance figures are 0-60 in 5.2 secs and a top speed limited to 155mph.

This performance is possible because it runs a mildly tuned version of the S3/ED30 engine that puts out 272bhp and 258lbs/ft torque. Price is around 34,000 pounds before options which makes an Edition 30 seem incredible value.

And you don't have to run around with those chavmeister led 'day lights'.

Audi TTS been in news for months.

I think they overhauled the engine a little bit compared to E30. I have no inside info, but I have that feeling for some reason!

There is still no detail on the difference between the Ed30/Cupra Engine and Turbo and that of the S3 although they both remap to the same bhp. I would seriously doubt there is much difference between the engine and turbo chargers and probably nothing between the TT and S3. The S3 runs a different compression ratio to the Ed30/Cupra and has a bigger intercooler and a different turbo number too.

S3 has same turbo number as E30, I've read somewhere. And bigger intercooler. Reworked internals? I don't know.

S3 has different turbo and intercooler number to Ed 30. The intercooler on the S3 is bigger, but I am not sure what the difference is with the turbo. Internals on the Ed30 and Cupra are uprated over the BWA engine in the GTi as are the S3's, but there must be a subtle difference somewhere to account for the different compression ratio.

I like that TTS so much! It is not practical whatsoever, but I still would like to have one! Beautiful design, beautiful performance numbers...  and then add some Oettinger to it

Yep - need a wee Oettinger etc to make it look more significant - just doesn't look special enough over and above a normal one for me - Apart from the RS's it's a typical example of VAG not producing the goods!

If they transfered the rear end styling from the MK1 tt and put it on the new one i'd agree, but the mearging of the roof to the tailgate is a missed opertunity IMO :undecided:
