Destroyed MK4 !
« on: 09 January 2008, 21:33 »
No, despite being a just like mine, this is not my car.

My mate was involved in a crash the other day with a tw@t of a driver in this MK4. He came right up on his arse giving it, so my mate gave it some on the straight (BMW 328i) and pulled away from him. Then came towards the end of the road when any normal person would start to slow down, so he did. This gave the idiot in the MK4 some new inspired confidence that he was actually catching him up and went onto the wrong side of the road to overtake him when he realised that the road was coming to and end, slammed the anchors on and swerved back onto the right side of the road, completely lost it and this is what's eft of his Golf. He was unconscious and my mate had to drag him out the car as a fire that was starting. The engine ended up in the passenger seat, had anyone been sitting there, they would have been dead. Its never nice to see a Mk4 Golf go off the road, especially by an idiotic driver that clearly had no idea what he was doing.

Ouch! The tw**s we have on the road these days!

And that's exactly why we have to pay so much car insurance. Hopefully the driver has learnt his lesson!

Good thing no one else was hurt because of his stupidity.

Errr, wrong... I think the extent of the damage in the photos above is more to do with the speeds involved and the obviously fairly solid object he drove into, not because the Mk4 is "not a solid car".

All modern cars are supposed to deform as much as possible in a heavy collision to absorb impact energy.
