Recently purchased a Mk3 8v Gti, 5dr, 1995 in Chilli red, leather interior, one owner from new and 230k miles. I'm really pleased with it, as I was driving a Mitsubishi Space Wagon, so this seems much better, and I owned two previously, so I know what they are like.
No real problems, few rust scabs, and the gearbox sounds a bit winey (hope its nothing to worry about??), but otherwise ok. Fancy upgrading the bulbs to make seeing a bit easier (can some one tell me if I require H4 bulbs for the dipped/main beam and H1 for the main beam. Would anyone recommend the 100w ones off e-bay).
Not sure what else I will do to her, tempted by a back box for a better sound (recommendations??). That's all for now.
