what they will do is go over the entire surface and take out any small dents etc..... there will be loads that you probab;y wont even see, but this isnt that time consuming, they will strip it all (take widows out etc....) then prep it...... preping and putting back together is most time consuming and you should look out for sundries on your bill, coz bits ALWAYS get broken when taking things off, so new parts have to be bought on your behalf??! which is weird!!!!

painting takes about a day max..... they have it for about a week for baking purposes, but now the new paint system is out, not sure how long we leave it.....

i know a chapp near me that did a full strip flip spray for my mate and cost him £480 and had it a week...... huge approved bodyshops will charge anywhere from £600 - £2000, also depending on paints etc.....

but if the shop has it more than 6 days, its a piss take and walk away!

make sure you see examples of their work first...

if the car has no dents or major scratches why are you getting it resprayed?

you'll probably find theyll turn you down for a respray in the same colour..... they will probably done any minor repairs and blend in new colour and retore the old paint to it's original state.....

or theyll offer 2 flat it back, do any paint repair and relaquer the car, making the paintwork apear completely new!

But work is so professional nowadays, people prefer adifferent colour to show that they actually have don the work and not have your pants down! The best painters in your area will have a large AD in your local Yellow pages  coz yellow pages only approve large ad's for legit companies which meet specific standards!

Just what I was thinking, its a lot of money, and if you dont really need it done, is it worth it?

im geting it re sprayed as the laquer has       starte to bubble on the back bumper, front bumper and both wings have a v reg worth of stone chips ,the other scratches will machine polish out,so i thought just get the whole car done and possibly a couple of bits smoothed off ie rear badge recess and door handles ,but unsure yet, taking it to a body shop at weekend ,i will put the quote up and see what you think, cheers again for the input

seems spensive to get the whole car re sprayed just for that... you could risk drips, inferior work, all sorts   :undecided:

if your having things smoothed off, the in wortha havin a full repray, coz even on the bootlid, theyll have to paint that, blend the paind into rear quarters and bumper anyway......

if i were you, id only have a full respray if your gona do some extra bodywork, i.e smooth door handles, bump strips, debadge etc.... or itll be hardly worth it!
