how bist people
im 16, 17 in a month ummckay

ive been looking for a cheap battered mk2 to tinker with and make roadworthy as i love the mk2 shape, had one a while back but was too soon for a project car, couldnt justify spending money on it so it had to go

ive found something better than i wanted, ritey... a 1.3 white 3 door 5 speed golf with 64... yes 64k on the clock, tax til end of this month and mot til november

tis £400
bodywork is mint, i found 3 inches of bubbling behind the front arch and that was it, the interior is so clean and original, think its got the original panasonic casette player aswell

the problem is i havent got the money at the mo, im gonna approach em tomorrow and ask if i can offer them the £140 i have now and pay them every week til ive done £400 (this is the plan)
what i meant to ask was what should i check for? common faults and such, ive pushed on all 4 corners to check shocks, searched high and low for rust, checked the coolant and oil cap for mayo/mix to indicate head gasket failure. just wondering what else to check?

this seems like a really good deal to me, been told by many people why bother just get a more modern car, have one of me mates telling me to get a civic

its between a mk2 or a mk4 polo
