front and rear valence

whats the best primer to use on these i was quoted 70 quid to spray them but thought ill hav a go me self
any help would be good

pay the money lol the only way to get rid of all the bobbles (grain) in the valences is to use 2 or 3 coats of 2 pack filler primer which you will need a compresor and spray equiptment to use otherwise empty tin after tin after tin of rattle can filler primer but trust me the finish you will get would be nothing in comparison to having them done properly , hope that helps

cheers sim i do have a compresor and a gun thats y i was thinking of havin a go as i will have a spare at the weekend to play with but its finding time and havin a nice wind and dust free place

itl take 2 mins to get the bobbles of but if you use high build cellulose primer, itll fill those in straight away aswell as scratches...... DONT USE 2PK!! its expensive and wierd! lol! hi build primer will cost you about £10 a ltr and then just buy a ltr of celly thinners for bout £6....... jobs a goodun! :smiley:

whatever you do tho, DONT PUT PLASTIC PRIMER ON FIRST AND PAINT IT IN CELLULOSE!! it reacts like crazy, but when its dry not wet! shrinks it all up like a paper bag! i learnt this mistake from my grille! :cool:

light coats at a time in this weather tho coz itll never dry!!!
