http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK4-XENON-ICE-BLUE-BULBS-UPGRADE-SET-HID_W0QQitemZ260196604736QQihZ016QQcategoryZ72234QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

are these illegal? cos im after sum cheap 1s n he says they are 100% road legal but the actual bulb itself is blue in colour, wud they look weird in a headlight if they were legal? cos my mechanic mate works at vauxhall n hes been told to take out any coloured bulbs if he sees any...?

im asking cos iv jus bort sum anniversary headlights (valeo) they look nice aint got em fitted, ther seems to be bulbs already in the headlights as i got them off ebay 'brand new', do u reckon the bulbs in the headlights already will be uprated at all?

cheers guys

I was told the same when I took my Escort for an MOT a few years ago. The tester told me it doesn't matter if they have the E mark on them and they are legal to use, they won't pass a car with them fitted.

Seems a strange idea but there we are

On the plus side the bulbs are blue in my Golf and it went straight through an MOT, I guess it depends on the person doing it
