Confused by Direct Debit? Not sure why!
« on: 01 January 2008, 19:10 »
Well i have paid for my last 2 policies by direct debit monthly. Now i have a new policy, of which i paid the deposit on the 29th of NOVEMBER and then have to pay on the 29th of the months that follow. Well the 29th of december came around (saturday) and no money came out, so i thought, ok, its a weekend. Gets to monday (yestday) and stil no money taken out. Checked bank details and its all correct, as they did take out the deposit ok! So do i not have to pay on december then start paying in january 29th or what? I checked online and i have a direct debit set up by them, so its all in place, just hasnt been charged?

with it being xmas/new year i'm sure there are no bank staff in to handle all those AUTOMATED payments  I'd assume the DD would be setup by now as this normally takes only a few working days. I'd prolly wait see what happens after the xmas break
