heated seats on without occupants?

as far as I can tell they are on even if I dont have a passenger but the rotary dial is set !
wouldve expected it to be linked to seatbelt mechanism warning light tbh ......

but looks like its not.

gotta love em though , like xenons a real 'once you had them , never go back' item

I'm sure my passenger seat isn't heated all the time.

Id check hurdy as I reckon thats where your MPG is going 
as gazs reckons Im pretty sure they are on if the dial is on irrespective of derriers

std fit on 1/2 leather seats on ED30
on R32 I have no idea sorry ! (although the sports seats look awesome)

I am preety sure you do Manu, I think ive seen an R32 with recaros and they were heated. I think it comes standard with the seats.
