Handbreak cable knackered!
« on: 16 December 2007, 17:46 »
Hey,

Last night I pulled up and went too apply the handbreak but something snapped...
Had a look today while bored sh!tless @ the parent-in-laws and found that it is 1 of the 2 cables that snapped.
The area of the cable that snapped had rusted...

So on an 89 G reg Golf Driver, would I use a rear drum brake cable or a rear disc brake cable?

Well, i'm gonna see what condition it is in when I get under the car, if it needs to be replaced then I'll get another, I know it seem more hassle to most people that way but hey, what else do I have to do on weekends?!
