You paid what?
The ED30 floor mats are some of the thinnest, cheapest and trashiest I've ever seen, mine are nearly worn through to their backing near the throttle pedal and they're only 3 months old.
VW must be knocking these things together for 2 or 3 quid a pair.

I have the geniune VW Golf rubber mats in mine, perfect fit (obviously!) and I think I paid £25 for the pair from the dealer when I picked the car up!

I know.. VW are a RIP-OFF.
I paid £140 or thereabouts for a boot load-liner - the rigid type. I was shocked at the quality - or lack of it when I got it. It made out of cheap plastic that you can find on packaging - must have cost VW £2.00 to make it.

And that is why there are so many posts about the servicing intervals... They know we GTi owners will pay up for a service once a year, when the rest of the Golf owners are happy with there 2 year intervals!
