Thats got to be a 2.0 GTI The 1.8 Turbo GTI would trounce most cars on the road.. My old 1.8turbo had a remap and i beat the guy at the bottom of my street on several occasions and he had the exact same car as you but in grey!?

Thats with a remap as you said. What BHP was your 1.8T standard and with remap?

Had it rolling roaded at 222bhp only other mod was air intake!

thats 22bhp more than the standard mk5. But the mk5 can be remapped to 250-300bhp

Like someone said earlier in the thread, a bonnet extension would have looked better.

I can't fault the guy for trying something a bit different.....and it does look better than the standard front IMO.

tbh, the mk3 4 and 5 are all in the wrong direction from the original golfs.

the mk1 was as has been said, a ''toe in the water'' excercise. the mk2 was the refined version.

so all this argument about insulting the mk5 by doing this toa  mk4 doesnt matter, because the real argument is, why the hell hasnt the guy sold it and bought a mk2?! then used the spare cash to dump a 20vt in it? then not even a remapped tank, sorry, mk5, would even touch it...

mk5 owners - more money than sence...

its not how much u put out its how quick the car is.. i know alot of 200 bhp cars faster than 400bhp cars...

Havent seen that before and tbh I would do that to my own car as its different to the standard r32 front or a bolf.
