If I lived in Cape Town I'd go for white. My wife's from there and we visited earlier in the year. White cars look good in all that sun, and it's a popular colour.

I've gone with (thanks to peer pressure) Diamond Black Pearl. Now the long wait begins.

Diamond black has a fine pearlescent finish. Much better and classier than standard black IMHO

Here follows my completely unbiased opinion:

Steel Grey looks awesome.

Harks back to the fantastic Atlas Grey on the Mk2 GTi's.

My GTI is plain black and looks great when clean and polished but it's an utter bast**d to keep clean.  Black also shows up minor scratches and whorls really badly.

The GTI is my first and last black car; it's back to ultra-easy-to-keep silver in future!

I've had one black car and will never have another. Total nightmare to clean and showed all the scratches and imperfections in the paintwork .  Reflex silver is extremely low maintenance  and in my opinion shows the red line on the front grill off the best of all the colours, but then again I'm biased.
