Just been looking at autotrader and there is feature about the new Golf, if anyone is interested click on the link, by the sound of some of the technology, it drives itself ! Home James !

There's nothing about the GTI yet but the diesel GT TDI seems impressive, one for you s11eps.

Hey blue, I'm sure the same thing happened to the MK1 owners when the MK2 came out etc etc, it might grow on you. we'll have to see what the GTI looks like that's when I'm saving my judgement.

Page three, paragraph three tends to agree with you, about the inside anyway.

I like the, scratch your door, no problem, just bolt on a new door skin bit which is on page three in the impressive Golf MK5 facts number 1. Ideal for those little bumps scrapes and thieving little so and so moments.

I know what you are saying golfgal but maybe that's just how the automotive industry is going these days, a lot of new cars today look very similar to others, I suppose it's all about effieciency, drag and the perfect car shape that all car manufacturers aspire to and it makes them all look the same. Lets see what happens when the GTI arrives.

Not like my day when a car was a car ! Not many round edges then, I think the wheels were square too ! :D

Good call golfgal. It was always the mk1 that did it for me the most, it's just one of those things in life that you can't explain. I used to like the standard mk1s so when I saw a GTI for the first time then it just blew me away  ;D

Just a thought though, maybe the family blandness will not be as obvious when the GTI arrives, only time will tell.

Apart from the rear bumper (in particular the large black plastic bit at the bottom) I like it... the front of it looks awesome ...
