took me plastics engine cover off today to reveal guess what, more plastic!!! am servicing it next wed so thought id take off today,not had the cover off when ive changed the oil before but doing plugs etc also this time for its 80,000 mile service, all plastic inlets on this, bloody terrible i though hmmm there might be a nice ally one that could be polished up but no no no mr vw has used plastic/plastic/plastic bet it wont belong before its 'plastic' exhaust outlets!! (heat restistant of course

it looks a lot better now though. get that inlet mani off and chrome it all up ;D a nice set of samco's and blue leads will make it a gem

all plastic matey, the whole inlet side of things from the k+n to the engine is fookin plastic, some black, some painted silver, so no chroming going on there!! shame though cause it looks a beasty of an engine really with all that pipe work and stuff

Theres a nice picture in Golf of a 1.8T without the plastics thats being put into a Mk1 golf, that looks really good.
