Does sound like a DV issue,

If you blew a boost pipe the car would autamatically go into limp mode.
If it is still driveable it will be the DV

Revo will take the boost pressure from 7psi to 21psi, the standard plastic DV's will  not handle this level of pressure for long.

Change it for a Forge piston DV, you will not have any more problems.

I've had VAGCOM hooked up and it showed no errors. I logged some data and found a boost issue. For example, requested boost was 2400 mbars and actual boost was 1600 mbars. It is holding a little boost but will not go above around 1650 mbars. I guess this could coincide with a split diaphragm. Anyway, I'll be fitting a new Diverter valve (proper VW name is Cut off Valve) tomorrow morning so long as the stealer delivers as promised. I'll update, with pics if it's broken.
Thanks for the input guys..

if the boost issue is the dv valve then dont replace it with another stock one or you will run into the same problem, mines been remapped and was seriously advised to swap the dv valve as the stock one cannot manage the extra boost.

f**k me..just booked my car in and asked them to check my divertor valve...

three different people...service advisor, head of service and one of the tech's had no idea what i was on about....at all. All had absolutely no idea what a dv was...

its in for a service tommorrow, then i think awesome can have it from now on...least they know what there on about...

They're a good bunch at awesome.. I use them for servicing because there's no way I'd entrust my pride and joy with VW themselves :embarassed:

Finally figured out what happened.. Switched Revo back to standard map, took it into the stealers to look at under warranty explaining the great loss of power, they did a software update. The car went better but not how a standard gti should be.

With Revo, there was a big difference in requested boost and actual boost so the car went into limp mode. When the stealer did a software update, it reset the limp mode so thats why it appeared to go better. However, some boost was still leaking which they didn't spot. Because boost on a standard map is not as high as Revo, the boost leak wasn't enough to put the car back into limp mode. So, got my tools to replace the DV,, guess what I found...

The car runs a treat now  just gotta vist Revo on Monday to get it re-Revo'd
So, if you boot it all the time and have a remap, this is what happens to your (well mine anyway) DV after 8k miles.
Will have to speak to stealer about warranty issues and Forge DV at some point..
