Edition 30
« on: 03 December 2007, 10:11 »
Hi guys this is the first time I have visited the forum and I gotta say, its awesome, no doubt many hours will be spent on here.

Anwway to the real topic, I am due to take delivery of my new 3dr Candy White Edition 30 in january.

I have chosen the following spec:

I-pod in centre armrest
Bi-xenon lights
Multifunction steering wheel
Highline computer
Winter pack

My last car was a Mk5 Golf 1.9 TDI s (105) so im excited to see what the power feels like , ive never had a fast car before and to be honest the wait is now getting to me, after reading through all the ed30 posts on the site. I cant wait!!

Once the cars run in I plan to make some upgrades, with a remap, intercooler, intake, exhaust, suspension and brakes. Has anyone had the APR remap, if so what are your thoghts?? and does anyone know if they offer a stage 2 programme yet??
Also the oettinger equipment on the ed30 looks good, does anyone have any experience of this??

Many Thanks.

The only guy who maybe has Oettinger is wolfbane1967, but he is seldom on the forum.

I plan to go Oettinger, but you'll probably bit me to it.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome T88OMM.

Well you are in for a bit of a treat with the ED30 I can assure you.

I'm having the APR Remap later this week and will hopefully have it rolling roaded at the same time. I will be taking plenty of pics for the forum and let you all know what it is like

Thanks Hurdy.

I think I am going to go with the APR map as awesome gti are so near to me. Plus being able to switch between maps with the additional programs is great as I believe fuel consumption is better with the factory map, correct me if im wrong.

Make sure you get those photos up and try and best describe what its like with the remap, then I can dream about it at night
