Thread For 2.0 GTi Owners

Anyone got any ideas how we can maybe imrove the speed in our motors a little?? Neuspeed P-FLOâ„¢ Induction Kit and K&N 57i Induction Kit are 2 induction kits i have come across. Has anyone used them?

Also the thread is just for anything 2.0 related so feel free to tell us about problems or improvments you have on your car

Dont bother trying to make it faster, waste of time and money.

Shall I be the first to moan about fuel economy !? lol :D

How about oil usage!? lol :D

Lets start of with if you buy a mk 4 gti your not buying it for speed but to enjoy.  So no point in trying to make it go faster.

Instead save the money up and buy a MK2 GTI for weekend fun
I crashed mine, but another will be coming soon....

Dont u think itll add a little bit bit more bhp? Im sure if u add that and the short shift itll make it a bit better.

You will probably get about 125bhp with a good filter and exhaust system. Hardly a noticeable increase.

Only other option is to supercharge it, but it just begs the begs the question of why !? For the cost of sticking on a supercharger (3- 5k) you can just buy a 1.8T and remap it and it will be hell of a lot faster.
