thanks for the advise....i still havent tryed the fuel relay yet as i havent got round to doin the other bits like the down pipe so it aint driveable yet :rolleyes:
by 2moro evening tho all the bits i have will be fitted (oil pump,oil filter,air filter..down pipe,rotor arm,dizzy cap,fuel pump relay,pressure sensor and new cv joint!)..and i will be able to progress from there lol

so..watch this space....

i dont like the sound of replacein the dizzy tho...im guessin there not to cheap..

i replaced the dizzy cap rotor arm and plugs and leads on my car.. very cheap to do also!

result! oil pump fitted, exhaust fitted,oil change/filter,and cv joint = took it for a hours drive..

no buzzer,no worning lights, and no cutting out!!

ooohh yer! :smug:  tis gr8 fun to drive... gunna pull the body work to bits next tho lol....that bit i can take care of super quick tho being a panel beater, tis haveing a new coat of paint the week after christmas...just decidein if i should keep it standard with p spokes and standerd ride hight or if i should drop it on the floor and rim it

just to add, yep the oil cooler is std fit to 1.8 GTIs :)

Just reading this, did you get your cambelt changed... how easy is it?  - DIY or Garage advised?
I have an 86 GTI Cabriolet, Cambelt went the other day - apparently I could be looking at damage.
