Im selling my mk4 GTi T and getting a VR6
« on: 17 March 2004, 19:33 »
Ive decided to sell my Mk 4 Golf Gti Turbo and get a Mk 3 VR6 :)
Ive always wanted a car with proper power and think im doing the right thing and sticking with VW's
Ive seen a load of Vr6's with loads of extras such as climate and heated leathers for between 4k and 5 k all with 70 k on the clocks.
Only thing that concerns me is the fuel consumption
What are you vr6 owners getting to the gallon ?
Any more advice and tips would be appreciated

Cant see why u would wanna change from a mk4 turbo, cheaper to tune that engine then a vr6.  Although the vr6 wins on sound.

my corrado gets 35.5mpg best ever, but can usually guarentee around 30mpg, early 20s if ya hammering it all the time.  Cant say i notice my vr6 corrado useing anymore fuel, then our 20v mk4 gti does or mk3 golf gti before that/ its a really good engine when ya on a run.
