did you block off the huge hole on the throttle body, if not not only do you have a massive air leak, but you're also sucking in a ton of unfiltered air.  With this hose disconnected the car should stall, if not either the idle screw set totally wrong, the throttle cable is too tight, the throttle stop is in the wrong place or the idle switch isn't working!

You're supposed to block that hose connection when you set the idle/CO ;)

Yeah, I've put gaffer tape over the hole in the airbox.

As you can prob tell, my engine bay is starting to look very "pro".
