how much is my mk2 worth

hello there thinking of selling my mk2 gti. its an 88 e reg matalic black campaign model. origanal seats wheels the lot. very good condition with about 130k on the clock. the paint work is good the underside has just been given a paint and the arches etc. the engine is standard and the only mod is 40mm lower springs.

Have a look on e bay to see how much other gti's are going for. This will give you a better idea.
The prices really do change depending on which way the wind is blowing :smiley:

Well why'd you wanna sell a MK 2 GTi anyway?  :shocked:
I'd swap you for my 1.6 Driver, but I'd put the original gear knob back on because I like my chrome wolfsberg gear knob  :smiley:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

and if its a 88 eplate minted on small bumpers(please not converted to big) with tax and m.o.t plus lots of history and no rust(not such a thing :grin:)
be anything from 1500-2500 ....if its hanging like a bag of rusty nails 500 notes

Paid £500 for mine with 12 months MoT, 5 tax, 126k, some history, clean and original except for rusty passenger door.

Golf GTI: good enough as it is

£196 off e-bay, was bought for £695 6 months earlier  :laugh:
Had: 4 months MOT, 0 tax, Clean & Tidy, small dent on drivers side wing on the corner, 1/2 tank 'o fuel small amount of rust (soon to be sorted  :wink: ), Royal Blue, GTi Front grill with Black badge,
Been reliable since day 1.
