JUST SNAPPED A BOLT!!!!!

right i was tightening up my rear axle bolts when all of a sudden there was a snap and my arm went full force into the concrete floor and there was spanners and bits of bolt flying everywhere, now just prior to the bolt shearing the bar bent (it was a little bent before) but it was still turning so i carried on well heres some pics to show what i have done, looks like im going to the dealership tomorrow to spend another £1.09 on a new bolt

didnt think it would be so easy to snap a 10.9 bolt but hey ho ill get a new one tomorrow  :grin: :grin:

Get yourself a torque wrench and torque them up to the right settings. Stopped me stripping threads, snapping bolts etc..  :grin:

it must of been FT for the bar to bend and then you carried on... i do it everyday (fix cars not snap bolts) so you do get the feel though.
i bought some coilovers for my seat ibiza so i went to VW and bought all the nuts and bolts id be undoing and doing just saves hassle and then you can always keep the old bolts.
