i used to have a red car and it hits resale values big time
i would go for black, blue (shadow blue or dbp) or grey which looks very smart in my opinion
don't get red, you'll regret it when you sell it

Alternatively go for silver, so it hides the "zimmerframe" front grill

Yesterday evening I saw a dark blue R32, and for the first time I thought that the chrome front looked tasteful!

Manu, your dad seems very loving, why don't you ask him if he could stretch to Audi S3, I think you'd have much more excitement in it than in R32 (except for the exhaust sound). Plus, imagine what S3 with 330hp would do on the road!

The dealer here sells both Audis and VW's and there was an S3 there, did show him but he didnt like the idea of me having another 3 door and i dont think its as spacious as the golf.

R32UK, any reasons why i may find it hard to sell a Red car in the future?

Simple mate, supply and demand.  The reason you see more DPB and Black R32's is because those are the colours people want, end of story.

i cant say i have seen may red R32's.. in fact i dont think I have seen a single one, except on the net. It did look very nice tho. I think alot of it is to do with your location. Nicer weather usually means more colourful/brighter cars (from my experience) which can be kept cleaner and in their ful glory. tbh i dont think the colour will have such a big impact when it comes to selling. Esp seeing as your dad bought it for you (no offence).

Go have a look at all colours available and buy the one that you think looks best. wouldnt worry about what others think or are driving ever though you are from a relatively small island. i bought black because I didnt want mine to stand out too much. if you think Red looks nice im sure many others will too once they see it
