Debadged single or quad lights
« on: 26 November 2007, 09:33 »
Right ive got the cash for a new grill or black grill badge (obviously less than a grill) and im not sure which looks better. My car isnt slammed (yet) so dont know if the debadged grill will look any good. If i got the debaged id proberly get a grill spoiler aswell :undecided:

Just thought id see what people prefer tbh

Heres some photoshopped pics of my car anywho of how i think it will look :undecided:

Personally i would just have the black badge as imo quad lights look better and you can save yourself a few quid as well

Whilst your there if you have not already done it since the pic in your sig you can adjust the rear wiper so it lays flat across the screen then use a mk3 rear wiper arm to get it even flatter on the screen

I have done the wiper thing but didnt know you could fit an mk3 wiper. Is it a straight fit or is there bodge modding required?

heres a more upto date pic

So i could get one of the mk3 wipers like this one (my mates golf) and it would fit?

Cheers

Good choice!

When I bought my MK2 Driver it had the GTi front grille with silver badge, I've bought the black badge and looks ace with the quad lamps, so much so that my mate is also getting one for his MK3 GTi (the 2.8L beast! ogles ) when it gets back from the repair garage.
I was thinking of eventually going for a debadged quad lamp GTi grille - if such exists? and if not, why not?!

Quads with a badge is my liking, but my car is keeping the standard ish look. once its on the floor running 14" alloys single wiper and the rest of it, the single headlight grill seems to work well... just dont stick jetta headlamps on it

heres my quad to inspire, with blac badge and non uprated candles
