gotta agree , Gaz's car is a belter and shows why the ED30 should have had 19's

Re: ARB , If you are getting springs or coilovers fitted this time then yes I would.
And of course a proper suspension setup which I guess you have to bargain for too  :lipsrsealed:

....ARB's are often overlooked but play a vital part in an effective suspension setup as a whole. For anyone who is very restricted by costs, I would go as far as suggesting that ARB's are excellent value for money and do those if you can't afford to go the whole hog.

What about strut brace's?  Do you reckon they are worth having? If I went for one it would only be an over the front engine brace. :undecided:

....Probably a bit overkill for road use. I know a few guys who've fitted them to their Mk4 R32's for track days but no Mk5's. Perhaps someone else here knows more than I do about them.

ooooo....kkkkk...

I dont undestand much of this. But Hurdy your car is gonna fly
I did a mod on Gran Turismo 4 to my GTI called a variable LSD. I noticed it grips better even with something like 300 HP.

What does a LSD do?

....LSD = Limited Slip Differential.

Coincidentally, I'm considering this mod. Should I post all the info here or start a new thread (and post a link to it here) about the LSD for the GTI Mk5 ?

To avoid confusion, I'd start another thread RR

Can't wait to hear about it

Same here - I am def considering this. The only thing I am worried about is the inter-play with ESP although I have read that the LSD reacts much quicker than ESP so there is no issue. Also what I have read - in vortex I think - is that to put an LSD into a DSG car might require taking the DSG box apart which I would not do

Definitely bit the bullet now

Booked in next week for part one mods:-

Remap
Forge DV
Carbonio

They have agreed to Rolling road it before and after, so I can see the differences with the mods.

Note to self *Must not forget camera*

Interestingly I spoke to Awesome who basically advised me not to bother with the Eibach ARB mod on its own as it will not do much. Significant differences will only be noticed in conjunction with a spring or full coilover change (which I can't really go for ). So that has saved me £500

Now, should I buy the APR tuned badge whilst I am there so that they can see why and how I was able to overtake them?, or should I leave it off and let the people guess what lies under my bonnet? :undecided:
