Can't remember off the top of my head but on the top of the light housing, there is a hexagonal nut/ hole with U and D on.  Self-explanatory, turn one way for UP and the other way for DOWN.

Mine were too high, so high that the drivers in front had to flick there anti-dazzle mirror on.  Moved then both half-a-turn downwards and all is okay.

i aint been flashed and they hardly shine on the car in front.. infact they dont really reach the number plate unless im a meter from the car... they are too low i think, i told the dealer looks like they moved em down more!!

Mine are just above the number plate/below the rear window of a mkv golf at a safe distance.

As mentioned above, 6 mm hex driver and adjust up or down, best lined up on the flat against a wall or garage door.  This also works for driving on the continent, usually 1.5  to 2 turns from normal setting, but it only takes the beam pattern from flicking up on the left (ie highlighting the kerb) to flat, it does not then flick up on the right, but saves truck loads of cash going to the stealer.

both the MK4 and MK5 xenons have a switch to set them for LHD / RHD but you really need hands the size of a small child to switch it with the cluster in place.

Wouldn't be the same problem the MK4's, A3's and S3's suffer where the self levelling motor gives up and they keep pointing to the floor.  I had this problem on my S3 twice and seems to be a very common fault with the guys across on the Audi forum.  IIRC the motors are about £40 each
