What year was the PD engines introduced

Hi all Want a PD130 or PD150 golf for my next car but I want to make sure the ones I am looking at are the PD engines so what year did they start using this engine in the MK4 golf's ?

I had a PD130 when they first came out. Mine was a 51 reg. :smiley:

early 2001 for the 115 i believe then late 01 for the 130; 150 was first introduced into the Anniversarys in 02 and then later in the GT TDI's

am i right in saying all the 100,115,130 & 150 engines are PD's? and the 90 and 110 aren't?

 :embarassed: what does pd mean? i have just bought a 2000 gti (115) diesel, is this pd and what does it mean?

my nieghbours is on a W and it's 130bhp, surely that's a pd? :undecided:

is it 6 speed? whats the KW rating? you can find that in the boot in the spare wheel well

the W plate 130 could be a remapped 110

maybe it isn't, just it has the D and the I in red on the back, always thought this was the 130 bhp one.
