What car mate?
Try:

http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=767

And I should think GSF, Euro Car Parts etc would stock them too.

thats really not a dealer only part.. its the fact that the track rod on that side is non adjustable if its original.. the ones amde since are actuall adjustable cause they realised it made more sense.. as if you take a knock and bend the end it wont take changing the whole arm.. thats why i put a new one on mine

or hav ei got it round the wrong way and the passenger was non adj.. ive forgot now blige.. eitherway a TRE is gonna be available after market OE or replacement

Power Steering, Left (GTi/VR6)   Febi   08052   Ã‚£21.95
Power Steering, Right (GTi/VR6)   Febi   08051   Ã‚£21.95

Parts aprox £50 tops.. Labour probably calulated at an hour each side, maybe its harder on a vr6 than a mk2, but i only paid i think an hour or sometihng for mine   :undecided:

i know garages have their markups but..

upto now it has cost me about 16£ for the track rod ends £----for the track rod and i think it is about £40 for the wheel alignment (nobody seems to do tracking anymore) £180 sounds a bit steep
mine is not power steering
