New Ed 30 owner, a little adivice for a novice please
« on: 18 November 2007, 11:10 »
Hi All

Bet you get this all the time but if you could give me some quick pointers that would be great

Just orderd a standard Ed 30 manual from an importer for just over 20k new with delivery milleage in silver. Love the new golf, really looking forward to driving a decent car for a change.

Anybody know anything about the Motorhouse in Cannock, or have any good/bad experiences with them?

What do I need to look out for with regards to the importer with respect to spec/warranty. (I get a standard two year European warranty and they said they will register the car on the dealer network, is that normal?)

Running the car in, what should I limit the revs to and for how many miles before I can properly boot it?

Whats the deal with insurance, is it higher because it's an import and will a the cost of a tracker be worth the reduction in insurance?

Anything else to look out for with this spec or euro imports is appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

A lot of coin to be spending unless you are 100% in the know of what you are getting.
