mk4 20v t got 1 now lol

hello there ive just sold my mk3 and have been offered as above on a treg 1999 its done 160000 miles bt has had new engine in it wich has done 50000 with nearly new ko3 turbo i think he has told me cos of this turbo it is propaly pushing 180 bhp ist this tru???? also wat do u think its worth it in good condition all round with yrs mot but is a cat d write off thru water damage which was the old engine any help please

   unless he offer u very cheap then i wont bother if i was u .... done 160000k and cat D too  ! ther is alot of wear and tear ... like gearbox ,drive shaft ,wheel bearings could well be on the way out .... as him what new parts he have changed apart from the engine .....

 i would say between 3.5k-4.5k .... it varies some been moded so it will cost a little bit more to buy or some a bit cheaper but standard .... think now is the right time to buy cuz xmas coming up ...

exaclty wat i was tinking m8 he offered it to me for 3grand sound cheap but wen u think bout it it dont lol
also wats the difference on some engines i seen some say 5v turbo and others say 20v turbo obvoiusly the 20 v is valves but which is the better engine

Well depends what you class as "nice".

A nice tidy lower mileage 1.8t .... humm between 5-6k. More if you want a later model.

yeah all depends on what type it is.. if its the earlier throttle cable type then there are a bit cheaper due to age but not as good for modding due to ko3 rather than ko3s [can map to around 220bhp as standard] and no vvt. id save and get a nice one for about 5 grand with nice grey recaro's, spoiler, better engine and resonable miles [70000]... it will be worth it
