GTI 16V QUESTIONS!

this is my first 16v and i have a couple of questions to ask,

- even in cold whether the rad fan is on for a short time after the engine is switched off.... thermostat?

- the oil temp is showing 110-118 when warmed up..... Normal??

- According to the MFA i average around 25mpg but sometimes from cold it reads 7mpg and creeps up to 22mpg???...........

- What air filter would you lot recommend as ive done a general service except the panel?? can you even get induction kits?

- What air filter would you lot recommend as ive done a general service except the panel?? can you even get induction kits? k&n panel
