Samco Braided Hose Kit in 16v GTi

Can anyone help me with this? My Samco hose kit just arrived.

A cursory glance got me matching up the two block/rad, rad/block hoses but little else. I now also know that the kit is made for a matrix bypassed car, but we'll deal with that later LOL.

I'm hoping for a pic of an engine bay or an engine out with the hose kit hooked up. I found some 8v owners that had done this but didn't see a valver.
