handbrake light on all the time

should of posted this in the other thread but hey im going to spam away!!

the handbrake light is constantly on and the car is up for sale sooooo what can i do? all brake fluid levels, pads and discs are fine coz i ave checked em, so what is it?  and before you ask, i may be a lady but im not driving with the handbrake on...it is most definatly off and not sticking either

probably a little switch some where near the lever is stuck closed.

if you find theres no problem with the switch then it basicly means there are two or more abs sensors need replacing.... :sad:

Looks like you'll have to knock a couple of hundred off the selling price if a potential buyer spots it

have you checked the fuses maybe ? just a wild guess ...

nooo not checked fuses.  its getting a bit of a pain for me to do anything on it coz im 7 months preg so bending over and that is a nightmare.

i washed it the other day as it was up on ebay and spotted the next day that i ahd missed approx an inch all round the sills as i cant bend down that far no more lol.  :shocked:

thought bugger it dont care coz whoever gets it is gettin it cheap enough anyway. its got teh standard 15's and a set of 17's with it and its overall a good motor.

Id personally reduce the cost by say £75 ish to cover the parts and just explain that there are two sensors that need changing. Its on not a massive job I fitted mine myself and im a novice with car mechanics, i learn as i go with the help of people on here. Not mentioning any names "cough" Pete taylor "cough" :tongue:

feck that, pull the bulb... noone will bother to check that....
