2l 8v swap

just a quickie, any idea how i can get around the breather problem on a mark 3 2l bottom end??
i can have low mileage block cheap but he hasnt got the breather system for the front of the block, still has the plastic flange but no pipe, anyideas??
been told pipes very expensive from vw
ideas please

As far as I know the breather can be blanked off as the breathing on a Mk2 is done on the Cam cover.

i got one from a polo (metal) cut it down and put a pipercross breather filter on the end

my mate used a blank from a thermostat housing off a polo and held it in with the clip from the same housing

u can buy blanking plates from tsr or u can get a whole kit that includes the adapter ring for the distributor if your needing that too
