first squeak!

two months in with my new car, loving it to bits. Done 1500 miles and wow does she go!

One small problem, but very annoying! when driving over bumps/uneven roads I get a squeaky sound from the rear passenger side/boot area, think it might be rear suspension, not really sure.

Has anyone else had this, would be really grateful for any help, thanks

Get the missus or any random person off the street (Make sure he is clean though) and get him to sit on each seat at the back. Then drive a bit. Sometimes the rear seat gives off a few squeeks. Its a normal GTI thing but normally happens with the American cars.

If the clip isn't fully located the side of the rear seat tends to move in relation to the trim and squeaks severely in tune to each bump and corner you come across. You are right that the clip can rattle too, but it is generally drowned out by the squeak

Our seat doesnt squeek. It just rattles....

thanks guys!...it was the rear seat not locked in correctly.................back to rattle/squeak free driving pleasure!
