I was driving home today when the engine light flashed up on my dash, all seems fine with the car and my performance is the same as before the light came on, if it has changed it is so slight i cannot really tell. So i tenderly drove the car to my mate who ran a diagnostic and it came up that i have a mechanical fault with my Wastegate.
What steps do i have to do to solve this fault will it mean a replacement, the turbo is running fine but i dont want to cause anymore damage by driving with a fault code. Can anyone shed any light on the issue and let me know what i need to get done.
My knowledge of turbos is not extensive (as this is my first) so all help will be appreciated
