How doo?
« on: 03 November 2007, 03:40 »
Hi chaps, just signed up! Getting myself into the Golf scene and started by just buying a mk3 3dr gti 16v in red, really nice car to drive, pretty impressed, but i was rushed into buying it as i had the money in my pocket burning a hole and needed a bigger engined car asap, ideally wanted a black or dark blue golf 16v but none would come up when i was looking for one, so ended up with the red one which i'm regretting because i want a black/dark blue one so much. Dont get me wrong, mine drives lovely, got 12 months MOT, tax till Jan, had a lot of work done to it recently all wear and tear stuff with reciepts, its on 101k with just a few cosmetics need sorting what you'd expect really of an 11 year old car. Anyway, I'm waiting for the V5 to come through the post then it will deffinatly be going up for sale as i desperatly want a black or dark blue one to spend some cash on and get looking mint. Mine will be selling at around £1300ono
If anyone might be interested, let me know and i can send you some pictures or whatever.
Cheers!
Dom

Just looks pretty strange, it has the GTI badge on the front instead of a 16v one and it's a later 1996 P reg but has square side repeaters and the arial on the wing. Maybe somone put the wrong badge on the front and it was one of the last OBDI models

something looks not right about that car to me..

As Pete said, it looks like a 8v, has old style wings, yet later style alloys, and also has a colour coded spoiler??

also no front fogs, thought on a P reg they almost all had them

maybe its just me, just looks older than what it is
