Shipping Dates?

Hi Guys,

First post on the Forum but been checking out the mine of information for the last few weeks. 

I have ordered an white GTi which has now been built but is awaiting shipping. Anyone happen to know how long this takes?

Got to drive to Wales in a few weeks and wondering if it likely i'm be taking the Gti or the crappy 95k Diesel Focus i currently have.... :sad:

Company car and i think it is a import as i won't be collecting from a VW Dealer - anything i should be wary of before accepting delivery?

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Shipping can be around 10 days to 2 weeks from a dealer. If its an import check that you get english manuals and that its recorded with VW UK for your warranty.

So the post for new car checks or do a search. Enjoy your new car and follow TTs guide to running in.

Thanks for your advice, i hope its sooner rather than later - those 10 days are going to be the longest of my life!!!  laugh

Printed out TT's list of things to check a few weeks ago with much anticipation.
I can't wait, although British winter is probably not the best time to get a white GTi!

Fingers crossed i'll be doing the 500 mile round trip to Wales in the GTi! Of course I will be going slowly to break the car in gently.  evil

Just had a phone call to say the Gti will be at the dealers early next week!  :smiley:

Looks like i'll be driving to Wales in a Gti after all!

Further news: My new Gti is in the country waiting in Swindon! Keep an eye out for a white GTi with 18inch monza's coming to a road near you soon  :laugh:

Just need to get the money over and arrange delivery....Wales here we come.....

nice, i love white gti's. run it in then get a remap on it  :evil: then youl have a nice fast white GTi :drool:
