Hi, I have tried looking in Etka, Haynes and the Bently manual to see how the wiring should be setup for it. My alternator has 3 pins on it, and there is no original plug for the loom - its just a crimped wire. There is only 1 wire connected to it, which feeds back to the battery...is this right, or should I have additional ones.
I was having starting trouble - which is probably down to the poor condition of my battery, I jumped the car, ran it for about 25mins with the beams, fan and stereo on, and ran a voltmeter across the battery and it showed 13.1v - which seems pretty unhealthy, I just want to make sure the alt is fine before I replace the battery.
