Adjusting Koni Suspension
« on: 29 October 2007, 16:11 »
Has anybody got the Koni sports adjustable kit on their Mk 2? Like to know how you can adjust the rear without fully removing the struts from the car. I have undone the top nuts and strut bearing and left the bottom fixed. I thought an allen key in the top and turn anti clockwise would do the trick. I seem to be able to turn for ever and what I want is to get both sides at a known state and the stiffen equally. Appreciate any help as I think one side is stiffer than the other at the rear. Front - top, piece of p*ss. Cheers Trout

Is it not a knurled knob at the base of the strut?

Also what type of kit is it, as some a pre-set?

Hello Lewey,
Its the Koni Sports SSK kit. Adjustable. The instructions for rear adjustment state to turn the strut anti clockwise with an allen key while holding bottom part of strut in a vice. As the bottom is fixed to the car I thought you could undo top brearing etc and turn anti clockwise. I've done this and it just turns for ever so I dont know if both sides are the same. Maybe I need to completely remove??
Cheers Trout
