Unless I'm being stupid, the state of tune your car is immaterial;

You say you were doing 220kph (nearly 140mph) and this guy came out of nowhere and then played with you at 150mph+

Your car obviously isn't ill - you were able to achieve these speeds - the important point is the fact that a car with (supposedly) 170bhp could accelerate up behind you and sit with you at these speeds.

This suggests some serious power under his bonnet. I wouldn't worry about yours, I would be more interested in what he's running....

After fitting" the full Milltek exhaust system and Superchips remap, the car was retested and showed a massive output of 225bhp - that's an increase of 58bhp - from a 1.4!!! "

found this on the milteck site!!!!!!!!!!!!

225bhp from a 1.4 is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :shocked:

Sorry - signed the old sensible bugger! :wink:

ps...... saying that i got an all time record low yesterday of 21.6 average mpg after a 60 mile run on my own - never once reached 3 figures! :smiley:

There is a road somewhere in SA in the Karoo that is 100% straight and has no speed limit. We went on it a while ago. But were in the Pajero so didnt go too fast.

I really want to organise a day for my dad to take the GTI and his superbikes on a race track.
