Howdy.
« on: 23 October 2007, 17:26 »
Hi, I am from Durham and got sent this way in the look for info on a Project I want to start in January. My brother owns a minter Mk2 with 45k on the clock and not a spot of rust. But back to my plans.

I am after doing the following, in this order:
-Finding the correct engine, torn up between the 1.8 Mk3 engine at 85bhp (for compression reasons) or the 2.0
-Rebuild the engine with a good Intercooler set-up and Oil cooler kit.
-Find a good condition Black Mark II chassis (3 Door & it doesn't matter if the engine is fried)
-Find a G60 rear beam.
-Rebuild it all.

I'm unsure about the engine set-up yet, if I want a high revving car or a good base compression for a high PSi turbo.

Any information or links would be appreciated, I am looking for the engine at the start of December, its my birthday & Christmas present. :D
