Mk2 Big Bumper query
« on: 09 March 2004, 13:08 »
Hello Guys and Gals,

A REEEEALLY silly question for you ...

I've got the chance to get my hands on a very nice geunine VW front big bumper for my golf ... only down side is it's just the frame with no mounting brakets or indicators ect

I'm sure I can sort the existing wiring no problems with a few bullet connectors etc but whats the deal with the mounting brackets?

Think you can get them separate? Anyone else done this?

The cars mint so dont want a poor fitting bumper spoilin her - any ideas ??

Cheers

are the mounting brackets on the inside of the bumper there?? as they are not replaceable so if they are missin you'll need to get new brackets made up

you can get the other part of the mounting bracket from VAG which just clips into the wing once you remove the small bumper bracket

like this

even though i prefer big bumpers i reckon you should stick with what you have on your car in the pic- just maybe change that red insert in the front bumper to a chrome one if you can get it. ;)
