MkIII Golf GTi 8V Suspension Question

Hi all, just a quickie, was wondering whether the suspension from either a MKIV or MKII Golf would fit onto our MKIII?  Basically are the parts inter-changeable?  Many Thx

mk2 rear shockers will fit but mk2 front shockers will only fit upto 95 models (80mm pigtail front springs)
mk4 are totally different and wont fit!!
