Insurance price jump - Provisional vs. full lisence
« on: 19 October 2007, 20:04 »
Ok so been getting quotes for the car im likely to get tomorrow (see here - http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=68733.0)

Basically i got a quote on that car....

It came to £2156.44 TPFT with a full UK manual license (as if id passed which i havent yet but useful to know) with kwik-fit.

Whereas if i was to insure it today (or tomorrow when i possibly buy it) it would be £1197.26 TPFT with my provisional with quinn direct.

Wondering if anyone could tell me if i'd have to pay the extra £1000 when i pass my test or if they would just change the details for free?

Cheers

id guess because once you have passed you woudlnt have that experienced driver sitting next to you telling to to stick to speed limits etc
