heating element clear rear screen

I want to acheive a clean look to the rear of my oak green GTI by having a totally clear rear screen.  Ive got a spare screen with the correct green tint and spoiler holes, as i want to keep that, and have removed the silver element.  Now wants left is a clear orange film.  

Has anyone tried this with sucess, can it be removed at home or by a professional or is this orange stuff in the glass?

Did the mkii GTI ever come with green tint, spoiler and no heated screen??

Ive seen it done on a car in Germany so any ideas would be really great

you should be able to polish it out with a mild cutting agent seeing as is just stuck onto the window itself

you could use this to remove the lines
