It's one place I plan to go at some point. Love to go with a group of like minded forum members

Did you try and set any times?

I'd love to know what standard ED30's, GTI's and R32's can do around there given the right conditions and low traffic.

Imagine if the Stig had to set all his lap times on the Nurburgring

you go there with your car at your own risk. There are people there who don't give a sh!t about their cars, because they have enough money to repair or buy a new one. They don't give a sh!t about anybody else's car either. Be warned!

I went with my old car - 993 turbo and did around 9mins 30. I reckon you'd need to go about 25 times before you learn sections of the track. We went with a friend and his EVO9 playstation car who reckoned he's driven the track 100 times in Gran Turismo. Still couldn't get near the 911 !!! I've got a BMW z4M coupe now which is what the BMW driving school at the Ring use for tuition. I reckon it would be a bit of a handful compared to the ED30.

I'm up for a trip next year as well provided it's timed alongside one of the F1 european dates like Spa or Imola. Who's going to get a bit or organization going then?
