oil light comes on at 2500 rpm-ish

as above, if my golf goes above 2500 rpm a buzzer will cut in aand oil pressure light, can i cure this with filling the oil to "max" or does it mean engine work, the light isnt on before 2500 rpm, its hard not to because my clutch is more dead than a pig in a swiming pool

incidently.... where will i find a clutch? or should i try adjusting it or sumthing coz it only does it now and again?

try a new pressure switch and check the wires as they get tempermental with age these.... and i dont understand what your saying about your clutch??
