I picked up my first ever copy of Performance VW lasdt night and all i can saw is....WOW!  ;D

Its refreshing to read a mag that isnt full of adverts and tits, unlike Revs or Max power, And unlike the boy racer counterparts even dared to do more than 4 pages on a car *SHOCK*

Anyway, Its a great mag and defintally insperational, Ive got a plan thats slightly unorthodox but how does a Carbonfiber debadged grill and carbon fiber hood sound??  ;)

also with the 'boy racer' magazines they're always praising the skyline, etc when I'm sure 99% of it's readers only just afford novas, saxos, [insert another known *cough* sh!t heap ;)]

They have a 'fresh' stuff section evey month that always includes the latest 5in backbox, 'lexus' style (sh!tty looking) lights and a host of other mods that were the same last month, and the month before....

Most of the cars in there have massive (usually chrome) wheels, bodykits that surely knock 10mph off the top speed due to the huge 'intake' on the front and paltry 1.2 engines with the obligatary K&N and 'performance' back box.

I only know this cos I get to read them all for free at work and then when they don't sell get all the freebies before sending them back ;D

last month they claimed the golf following was dying off! No mate, golfs are just to good for you boys ;D

PVW and the golf are the only mags I buy now.

The mk4 on the cover of the current performance vw looks pretty cool.  8) (Not sure about the wheels though).

Must say, never bought a vw-mag. But might get a copy of "GOLF" after reading all yr recommendations.  :)

I prefer the golf but i also buy pvw, and read the religously more than once. im long for an article headed:

(preferabl;y with less than 5mins work ;))
